Appointments

Telephone Calls

Our telephone lines are open 8.00 am to 6.30 pm Monday to Friday.

We experience high volumes of calls throughout the day and particularly for appointments between 8.00 am – 10.30 am. Therefore you may experience a delay in your call being answered. All our lines are fully-staffed at peak times and we are sorry if you have to wait in our call queue. We do recommend that patients sign up for patient access to enable online appointment booking, prescription requests, etc to avoid waiting in call queues. If your call is not urgent please contact us after 10.30 am.

Please do not visit the Practice to book appointments.

Telephone Consultations

It may not be necessary to see the doctor or nurse face to face and we can often deal with an issue over the phone. Please ask for a telephone consultation if you feel this may be appropriate for you.

Routine Appointments

Routine appointments with a doctor are, on average, 10 minutes in duration. If you feel that you have a lot to discuss, please ask for a longer appointment to avoid delays to other patients.

Extended Hours

For those unable to attend during normal surgery hours, we offer an extended surgery on a Monday evening between 18:30 and 19:30 on Mondays. You will need to pre-book an appointment.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.

Text Messaging

In the age of digital technology, we are using text messaging to send screening reminders, appointment times and test results to those patients who have provided us with their mobile phone number. If you wish to opt out of this service, please let our Reception Team know.

Online Booking - currently suspended

Appointments can now be booked online - you will need to attend the practice with photo ID and be issued with a PIN number and Access ID before you can you this service.
